2021 Chrysler Pacifica Get Renovation, New Drivetrain, and More

One of the reasons many people are hesitant to get a minivan is the apparent lack of AWD options. Of the five major options available, only one has historically had AWD. But with the drivetrain becoming more popular on non-utility vehicles, you might expect more companies to feature it on their minivans.

Some 2020, All 2021 Pacifica Models Get AWD

Every 2021 Chrysler Pacifica model will have available AWD, making it the one of two minivans on the market to have the option. Chrysler has also confirmed that the last production models of the 2020 Pacifica line will also have AWD as an option. The new drivetrain pairs well with 287-horsepower 3.6L V6 and eight-speed automatic transmission.

More Standard Safety Features

The 2021 Pacifica has even more standard safety features the its 2020 predecessor. Each 2021 model has forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and stop-and-go adaptive cruise control. A rearview camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, and rain-sensing wipers are also standard. Confirmed available safety features include a surround-view parking camera system, parallel/perpendicular parking assist, and front parking sensors.

Revamped Infotainment System

The new Uconnect 5 infotainment system is standard on every 2021 Pacifica model. It has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Amazon Alexa integration. All of which are controlled from the crisp 10.1-inch touchscreen. The integrated Wi-Fi hotspot can keep all the passengers connected. And thanks to the up-to 12 USB ports, every one can stay topped off.
