Back in 1963, Jeep introduced the very first Wagoneer. It’s exterior wood-paneling made it iconic. It was also one of the original full-size SUVs available in America. In the 80s, it got a mid-size SUV variant. Both versions were shelved in the 90s. But Jeep recently showed off a new model in the Wagoneer line.
So, what are the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer?
Jeep recently announced the return of the three-row Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs, targeting both the entry-level and high-end luxury audiences. Both models are based on the Ram 1500. The regular Wagoneer will start around $60,000. The fully loaded top-tier Grand Wagoneer trim will go into high-end luxury territory with a price tag above $100,000. Both models go to market in the 2022 model year. As previous mentioned, the full-size Wagoneer was introduced in 1963 and ended production in 1991.
Since the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer won’t be in production for a while, full spec sheets haven’t been released yet. However, Jeep has confirmed a few features for the Grand Wagoneer. They are:
