Box Size and Payload

This, paired with a special tailgate, makes it easy to move things like 4-by-8-foot sheets of metal, wood, and other construction materials safely and securely. The maximum payload is an exceptional 1,700 lbs, which is higher than any other 4×4 midsize truck on the market. There are available options for keeping your box and cargo safe. For instance, there is an optional spray-in bed liner that protects your box from getting beaten up. Similarly, there is a roll-up tonneau bed cover to keep your cargo clean and dry.
Towing Capacity
The 2020 Gladiator is just as good at towing as it is at hauling stuff in the box. The Gladiator has a maximum towing capacity of 7,650 lbs. That’s better than any other midsize truck on the market. Most trucks achieve max towing capacity with RWD, but the Gladiator beats the them all with a 4×4 drivetrain. This capability is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. There are some helpful features available for those who plan to do a bunch of towing, like a trailer brake controller that gives adjustable braking power to a compatible trailer’s electric brakes or the ParkView rear back-up camera that helps you line up the hitch on the first try.
