Back in the day, minivans were awful. They lacked refinement, power, and features. Essentially, they were shortened versions of busses. Nowadays, however, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Minivans are filled to the brim with cutting edge tech and features. They are designed to maximize utility and comfort. And, thankfully, their performance has increased significantly.
Today, we’ll be taking a look at the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica and going over its standard performance, connectivity, and safety features. Let’s get to it.
The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica comes in five trims: Touring, Touring L, Touring L Plus, Limited, and the limited-edition Red S. Each 2020 Pacifica, regardless of trim, is powered by a 3.5-liter Pentastar V6 that pumps out 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a nine-speed automatic that’s quick to up and downshift when necessary. Surprisingly, the 2020 Pacifica is very agile, despite its size, thanks to snappy steering and excellent brakes. Likewise, the suspension eats up most road flaws. FWD is standard on all 2020 Pacifica models, but an AWD option will be available in the latter half of 2020.
While there are many available features and packages, every 2020 Pacifica comes standard with a lot of features. The Uconnect infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Bluetooth connectivity. It also includes satellite radio. The entire infotainment package is controlled via a 7-inch touchscreen. One USB input/charging port is standard. Cloth upholstery is the baseline, as is tri-zone automatic climate control, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and remote start. Standard safety features include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and a rearview camera.
